Singer Songwriter Robin Finch Releases his solo album ‘Reflections’

South African singer-songwriter introduces a collection of original songs shaped by life, love and personal experience.
South African singer-songwriter Robin Finch steps into the spotlight as a solo artist with the release of his debut album, Reflections – a collection of original songs written between 2020 and mid-2025.
Blending contemporary rock and pop with melodic vocals and strong songwriting, Reflections takes listeners on a musical journey through different chapters of Robin’s life. The album explores themes of perseverance, relationships, desire, personal growth and second chances, bringing together a variety of songs that are both personal and relatable.
The focus single 2nd Chance carries a message of hope, resilience and the belief that everyone deserves another opportunity. Written as something of a personal mantra, the song speaks to anyone who has faced difficult times and is finding the strength to start again.

Taking a more classic rock direction, Lovers is a solid rock ballad built around heartache, perseverance and desire. With a stronger rock edge, it provides a contrast to 2nd Chance while showcasing another dimension of Robin’s songwriting and vocal style.
Produced by Kevin Leicher, Reflections brings together songs that vary in mood and musical direction while retaining a strong melodic identity. From the explosive, passion-driven opening track She’s Thunder to the reflective ballad Surrender, the album moves through stories and emotions that many listeners will recognise. Other highlights include The Dream, with its timeless melody and familiar theme of holding onto a dream, and the album’s more emotionally driven moments that explore the changing nature of relationships.
Robin’s musical journey began growing up in a musical family in Johannesburg. After performing with various bands and forming the duo No Surprise in the 1990s, he stepped away from music for a number of years to focus on family and business. He returned to performing in 2018 as the frontman of Johannesburg band Satellite 79′, featuring as lead vocalist, guitarist and co-writer on their album Into the Sun. The experience reignited his passion for songwriting, eventually leading to the creation of Reflections.
For Robin, the album is more than a solo debut. It represents a return to the music that has always been part of his life, bringing together years of experience, songwriting and a renewed creative direction.
